Jack Rootes is back with his brand new single, ‘Take the World’
Even with a lockdown in place, Jack Rootes still finds time to release new music! From an upcoming EP Jack will release later this year, Take the World is loosely inspired by the 2019 superhero horror movie Brightburn (The single even shares the movie’s release date too, May 24th) and has him rapping from the perspective of the movie’s antagonist Brandon Breyer, over a dark, industrial sounding trap beat that suits the character perfectly. He must warn about potential spoilers for the movie in the song’s lyrics, so if you’re planning to watch the movie, he’d recommend you hold off on giving this song a listen, but if you’ve seen the film this song was inspired by, you may enjoy this take on the caped super villain’s story.
