“A Cross-Continental Boom Bap Collaborative”
Polecat (of the Legendary Boston Rap Group Street Poets (95) and Madrid, Spain’s most seasoned music producer @Jauh-One, (both with a collective tenure of over 60 years in the hip hop industry), wanted to present a piece with a classic sample muse, (LL Cool J’s Hey Luv – Drink Too Much and Smoke Too Many Blunts), and bring it back to life with a song that addresses one of the most widely talked about issues within every community around the world; the open and free use, (and abuse) of legal marijuana along with beer and alcohol consumption.
While both not ‘new’ issues, this song simply hopes to point out ‘some’ of the issues that arise behind the recreational use of these substances, albeit permissible and legal for adults within the United States, (and many other parts of the world).
