F.L.Y. 3 – Interview

What is your name?   I’m Lil Riddle, this Tray Spitz & we are FLY 3.

Where are you from?    Lil Riddle: We coming up out of Miami, Fl. Tray Spitz: Dade County.

How long have you been making music?   Lil Riddle: We’ve been doing this music thing since we were toddlers. Tray Spitz: Yeah our uncle (Mr. Reno) got us starting in music back in the days, but now we’re been more business minded for the last few years we’ve been recording a more professional product.

How many songs /albums have you released to date?   Lil Riddle: Its alot of music out there with the “FLY 3” stamp, I never took the time to count them. Tray Spitz: Lets just say less than 100, more than 25 recorded works out there, songs, videos etc.

Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?    Lil Riddle: “Team Coolin” is our lastest track, its just me & Tray showing what “coolin” is to us. Most of the time we like to be Team Coolin, just sitting up, feet up, coolin with the team. Tray Spitz: “TEAM COOLIN” was inspired by the life we living.

How have you ended up in the music industry?   Lil Riddle: Its one of the hobbies we stuck to and it brought us alot of popularity locally in Miami.

What do you think of the music industry in 2014?   Lil Riddle: To each its own but we feel the music industry dont let South Florida rappers in that easy. Tray Spitz: We trying to change that.

Who do you think the most influential artist?   Lil Riddle: My uncle Mr.Reno he gave us game on this rap industry, he super creative & influential Tray Spitz: Shot out Mr. Reno always be the realest.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?   Lil Riddle: We got collaborations with local artist like Mr. Reno, G5 Ghost, Sky Line, Raider Klan i cant remember all the collabs right now, but we grinding.

Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?   Lil Riddle: I think a Tupac & Fly 3 track would be fire. Tray Spitz: We can collab with anybody, its gone be hot if we on it anyway.

What’s your favourite song at the moment?   Lil Riddle: Right now I gotta say our single “Team Coolin”, its getting major play in the hood. Tray Spitz: I gotta to say “Team Coolin” also. Its only right.

Who is the most influential artist now, and 10 years ago?    Tray Spitz: Now, I can’t say. Influences coming for te old school now a days. Tupac like real influential world wide.

If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?   Lil Riddle: Im keeping all that old school like Spice 1, Tupac, Biggie etc.

How do you think you differ from other artists?   Lil Riddle: We got our own story to tell, you going to know a FLY 3 song when your hear it. Tray Spitz: We just doing us, Fly 3 time.

What is your favourite saying?   Lil Riddle: First Love Yourself (FLY) Tray Spitz: Feeling Like You (FLY)

What other hobbies or interests do you have?   Lil Riddle: Right now we collecting fans, LOL. Trying to find those that was looking for us. Tray Spitz: We collecting those sexy ladies. Tryng to collect them all like Poke’mon. Lol

Do you have any tattoos or piercings?   Lil Riddle: Yeah I got some tats, my mothers name FLY 3 & some others, want more.
Tray Spitz: “Tattid up & I’m flexn” I got a few, but this FLY 3 on my shoulder is the truth.

Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?   Lil Riddle: The project we working now “Family got Me Hustlin” will hit the streets Thanksgiving 2014. Its me & Tray Spitz headlining but our FLY 3 brothers showed out. Tray Spitz: Don’t forget we working with CUSTOM GODS CLOTHING on our own clothing line. It should be dropping 2015.

What’s in the pipeline after this project?   Tray Spitz: TGHS Management is laying out us a local tour in Miami, Fl. We got features in th works, its steady grinding for us.
