Don Jovani & Don Nandito have just dropped their fresh song “Nunca Igual”.
This Latin track is almost entirely in Spanish, which was a powerful artistic decision. Hailing from Massachusetts, Don Jovani is Puerto Rican. However, he was only fluent in English, something that is very common for people with Latin heritage in the U.S.A. Yet, even though he experienced a lot of racism and discrimination, it wasn’t until the hate in the 2020 NFL Super Bowl that he decided to make a significant life decision.
Now, Don Jovani has taught himself Spanish and “Nunca Igual” is his first attempt at a Spanish number. The track is upbeat and energetic, with an immersive atmosphere in the composition. The only English lyrics, is the haunting repetition of “fuck man, I see smoke”. The song explores the harsh reality of the racism and inequality that is still very much alive in America today.
The style and energy of this track is reminiscent of the likes of Anuel AA, Shyno, Tali Goya, and Drake to mention but a few. If you like these artists then you have to check out this new release.
