Cousin Louie presents his latest album release, ‘Midnight Recordings’
A little about myself I was born in LA and moved around a lot as a kid and ended up spending middle school and high school in Fairview Heights, IL, a suburb about 15 miles outside of St.Louis, Missouri. I was always around music growing up and loved listening to everything on the radio, but every facet of rock roll and hip-hop shaped my music tastes as I got older. I started to make beats on GarageBand and created my first single “Doin’ My Thang” a couple months after I started using the program around early 2019. Fast forward about a year from the date, and I have released my first EP and am working on another project in hopes to make a full album in the coming months. I control the creation from the production to mastering and I’m currently bootstrapping the business operations of the project and living the dream of being a poor artist entrepreneur!
Midnight Recordings is the name of my EP and it released on March 27, 2020 on all major platforms (I distribute through Distrokid). I made the album to resolve things within myself that I couldn’t come to terms with in a couple areas in my life like, “what did I learn from these failed relationships?”, and “what I want to do with my life now that I’m done with school?”, and “how can I find peace and happiness in my own life now that those relationships have failed?” It was questions like these that I was asking myself day in and day out that lead to a lot of my lyrical content through out the making of album. I hope that after listening to my album fans are encouraged to stand up for themselves and protect their dreams, whatever they may be!
