January 2021 – This album is outstanding because it is monumental and ambitious in its production. However, it is not just about being grandiose. There is a humble and down-to-earth element to Collin’s music, which is exactly what makes it so endearing and easy to relate to. Definitely give this album a spin if you are a fan of artists such as Kanye West, as well as Kendrick Lamar, Anderson.Paak, Lupe Fiasco, or Mac Miller, only to mention but a few. The album features 14 songs, including the excellent opener “Here’s To You,” also featuring TONIO and Coco Jones.
The title track itself is one of the highlights and its production is nothing short of excellent, combining old-school hip-hop with a bit of a fusion/jazz influence. “Wings” is another excellent track, which kicks off with a very atmospheric synth sound, and delves into a chill lo-fi beat with a melodic approach to the vocals. All in all, the entire album features an incredible selection of masterfully crafted songs, and each track has something special to offer.
