Where are you from?

936. Montgomery, Tx

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been writing poetry since around 12 years old, but started actually writing/recording songs around 17 years old. So I’d say a good solid 10 years of creating actual “Music”

How many songs /albums have you released to date?

O wow…TOOOO many songs to count. (Laughs). That’s for sure. But our last project, “Victory Lap 2.0: The Resurrection” was my 8th Solo Mixtape. Haven’t released the Debut Album yet, just because I want it to be that special. You only get 1 “Debut Album”.

Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?

Ya, it’s called “Victory Lap 2.0: The Resurrection” as previously stated. But it’s a great project man, I love it front to back. It’s a follow up to last years “Victory Lap” Mixtape, which featured Layzie Bone (Of Bone Thugs N Harmony), Lil Wyte, Whitney Peyton & More. But 2.0 is just another level…we wanted to keep the same theme, but wanted to show another side of us. We went through some things over the past year or so & that’s why we subtitled it, “The Resurrection”. Just basically coming back for everything we feel they owe me & my team, 1 Krown.

How have you ended up in the music industry?

As I said a little earlier, I started writing poetry around the age of 12. I never really used to show anybody except two or three of my close friends until one day I ran into somebody, 6 Mill (whose still my brother to this day), who took me in the studio and I just fell in love with the whole process instantly. From the writing to recording to the production… I just love the whole creative process of it. And from there we just took it and ran with it, ever since then it’s been on

What do you think of the music industry in 2015?

It’s changed a lot. Personally my favorite era was the 90s. The Tupacs, Bone Thugs & all that. I love substance music. Not saying that it doesn’t exist anymore, I just think there’s definitely not as much of it. And don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the good beats and club sounds and all of that. But I just love conscious music and feel like music is for the soul. I’ve always used it to heal and I want to do the same for others… that’s what I wish we could get back to, so I’m here in 2015 to do just that.

Who do you think the most influential artist?

Tupac

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?

Aww man, the list is Crazy. But notably, Layzie Bone (Of Bone Thugs N Harmony), Young Buck (G Unit), The Game, Lil Flip, Lil Wyte, Whitney Peyton & More.

How do you think you differ from other artists?

I just think that I bring a certain sound that you don’t hear anywhere else. Also I think my supporters know what to expect from me, they know I’ve been consistent for years and will continue to do so. I do reality music and it helps people to escape. I think people need that escape sometimes, even if its just for those three minutes. I want to be that escaped from them and that’s what I think separates me from others, I say what others may be scared to say. I’m not just a “Rapper”…I’m an artist.

Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?

Tupac

What was the first album you bought?

Tupac, “All Eyez On Me”. Well my mom bought it, I wasn’t old enough. Lol. But definitely my first CD I HAD to have

What’s your favorite song at the moment?

To tell you the truth, I don’t know that I have one specific song is my favorite. But right now, I’m listening to a lot of Machine Gun Kelly & Young Buck.

If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?

Tupac, “Makavelli”

What is your favorite saying?

You get what you give

What other hobbies or interests do you have?

I love sports. I grew up playing all sports and I’m super competitive

Do you have any tattoos or piercings?

No. Great question. I’ve always had many different tattoo ideas and everything. Butt tattoos became so cliché for rappers that I promised myself I would not get a single one until I “Made It”. Lol. So that is the reason I’ve held off, I don’t want to fall into a stereotype category or anything like that. I’ll always be me and never change for anyone else or based on what anyone else is doing

Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?

We have a lot coming up. We just dropped this latest mixtape at the end of September. We’re following it up with the EP, scheduled to drop early 2016. And debut album slated sometime around 3rd or 4th quarter 2016. I’m super excited for everything we have coming up

What’s in the pipeline after this project?

Lol. My bad, I think I already answered this and the last question. My apologies, I know I get long winded when I talk music. Lol. But a little bit of everything. We even plan on branching out side of music once we get to where we want to be. I will let you use your imagination on that one.

Thank you for your time and may you carry on making great, fresh music.

Thank you for having me. I appreciate your time.
