Carla Hassett, jazz grand prize winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, releases her first Christmas single. Won’t Be Home For Christmas shines a light on current times when we can’t be with the ones we love for the holidays. Produced with a Brazilian jazz feel, it was recorded in Los Angeles with top tier Brazilian and jazz musicians in the spirit of the great Brazilian singer songwriters like João Gilberto and Jobim. Simple and poetic lyrics reflect classic American Christmas songs. An accompanying video features super 8 vintage footage of past family gatherings and holidays.
