Since the age of 2, her first words were in song and her first steps in dance. This is Zoey Jones.

Born in Lancaster, UK in 1983, Zoey has always been known for her all round talents in dance, singing, acting, songwriting and modelling. On stage by the age of two, singing and dancing in competitions around the country Zoey has spent her whole life performing. Now taking her grace and beauty in performance, influencing countries all over the world..
Zoey’s smooth, sensual voice will captivate you, with an image sexier than Jessica Rabbit herself. Zoey has been climbing (a very elegant ) ladder since her appearance on the first ever Pop Idol competition, held in the UK. This was her first real introduction into the world of Popular music.

How long have you been making music?
I was a finalist on the first Pop Idol in 2001.. since then my career in music has escalated.

How many songs /albums have you released to date? 

I have one album of my own ‘Don’t Think’. I have released two singles from this. ‘Sorrow’ and ‘Don’t Think’. I have also collaborated with many DJS inc Mastiksoul and Jesus Luz ( Madonna’s Brazilian model ex). I have released several singles collaborating with DJs.
Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?
My song ‘Sorrow’ my second single release from my album ‘Don’t Think’ I wrote this whilst on a trip in Berlin. It was a moment in my life where it came to me that a past love that I thought was the one was actually never meant to be.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
I went to Performing Arts College and was training to be a dancer. My life changed after my success on Pop Idol.
What do you think of the music industry in 2013?
I like it. You have to except the changes and evolution in everything and music will definitely always be changing. I prefer listening to Soul, Jazz and soulful house music, nothing compares to the songs that were wrote back in the 30s/40s.  But I still appreciate the music today.
Who do you think the most influential artist?
There are lots. I’m inspired by many different styles from Diana Krawl to Daft Punk. Emily King to Medina..
Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?
Jesus Luz (Madonnas ex) Mastiksoul, Bingo Players, Phil Kay (Portuguese DJ) Fernando Periera (Portuguese star)
Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?
JK, Basement Jaxx, Daft Punk, Zero 7, Air…
What was the first album you bought?
Ohh some cheesy boy band I think. Can’t remember the name of the group. lol
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
A song by an artist called Emily King. A song called Georgia. She is a fantastic artist
Who is the most influential artist now, and 10 years ago? 
I admire the group Daft Punk. They have been adapting to the changes in music quite well..
If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?
Emily King SEVEN, Daft Punk RANDOM ACCESS MEMORIES
How do you think you differ from other artists?
I’m elegant and sassy. My style is inspired very much from the 40s era and also trip hop. Think modern day Jessica Rabbit!:)
What other hobbies or interests do you have?
I take ballet lessons and I love to paint also.. I’m a mean chef!
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Tattoos…no! Ears pierced ..Yes.
What’s your favourite takeaway?
Erm… rarely have takeaways. But I guess either Chinese or Indian.
What’s in the pipeline?
I have jazz festival coming up in Singapore in February with Natalie Cole headlining. And I’m working on writing my next album!
