Adell J. introducing socially-inspired new single: Superwoman
January 2021 – Let’s face it, the past year or so has been quite a challenging time. Not only has the world been forced to face a global pandemic, but there have been so many clashes and issues when it comes to social and political tensions. Artist Adell J. has been observing everything that has been happening, and he was particularly touched by the death of Brionna Taylor. In response, he really started to think of women and how they are actually the modern-day super-heroes, since they are so strong and need to face so many challenges, especially black women.
This song is so empowering and the production is excellent, reminiscent of artists such as Trippie Redd, as well as Juice WRLD, Post Malone, Chris Brown, and many others. Stylistically, “Superwoman” feels like a really perfect combination of neo-soul, hip-hop and R&B, going for a really heartfelt sound that comes true in every line from Adell’s amazing vocals. He is an artist with a lot to say, and this song is definitely a conversation starter.
