Born Alex Bruno on May 16, 1992 in the Flatbush section in Brooklyn, New York, Roy-Al began his love for Hip Hop over obsession on how produce music after listening to “Oh My God” by Jay Z . Not too long after his initial love of producing, his older brother decided to pick up rapping again. Roy-Al was inspired by his brother and decided to be a lyricist/songwriter. For many years before he thought of rhymes during his private time while using public transportation, and even using the restroom. However, it was curiosity to see how he would put these rhymes together as well to how they would compare to artists in the industry

Influenced by Outkast, Just Blaze, !llmind, 9th Wonder, Jay Z, and Kanye West, one can listen to Roy-Al music to see his creativity manifest itself. His neighborhood, and upbringing also serve as influences on the music he creates. He hails from the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, which has strong West Indian background. Not to mention that his own Haitian background, Roy-Al also comes from a musical family where his uncle and his brother are artists as well. As a producer and artist Roy-Al draws inspiration everyday from the music he hears.
