Check out this music review of the new single, ‘The Day I Knew I Needed You’ MARLOE

MARLOE is an artist and performer who approaches music with creativity, passion and commitment to quality. Her sound could be described as a very personal combination of pop, soul, and R&B, tipping the hat off to influential artists like Halsey and Amy Shark, only to mention but a few.

Recently, MARLOE set out to release a brand new single named “The Day I Knew I Needed You,” from her upcoming self-titled EP.This release encapsulates the artist’s unique production aesthetics, with a lush, spontaneous sound that feels textural and multi-dimensional.The instrumentals are powerful and balanced, while the vocal melody is presents and jumps out of the speaker, while still remaining firmly anchored to the mix!

Everything is quite balanced, with just the right amount of spice and excitement to do something amazing.

At the end of the day, MARLOE stands out for her sultry vocals, and this release is a true treat for any music fans who enjoy songs that are made with passion and enthusiasm for creativity, rather than just piggybacking on the sound of other established artists! If you look for unique music with a strong identity, this one is the right pick for you!

BIO

Queensland starlet Marloe began her music journey at nine years old singing in her elementary choir. Like many young artists, Marloe began performing on-stage wherever she could; from her living room in Brisbane, Australia all the way to the Musical Theatre program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy located in Manhattan, New York. During her time in New York, She performed in many short films and theatre productions which forged the foundation to begin her Indie-Pop career.

Marloe’s passion for singing had always been at the center of heart, as she can recall from her childhood, “crying at concerts because the music explained what she could not.” Her angelic and vulnerable vocals in “Remember Me” unfold this poignant “piece of her heart” in lucid moments of love and lust. Her bubbly and feminine yet sophisticated side can be heard in “The Day I Knew I Needed You” and again in “The Future Is Now.” “The Future Is Now” also brilliantly blends 80’s electronica influences with a fast-paced and forward sound filled with playful pops of colour. Marloe’s luminescent and sleek sound can be compared to princesses of pop including Maggie Rogers, Vera Blue, and Lorde. You can find Marloe’s debut singles on all major streaming platforms.
