May 2022 – Pressure is a rock band from Sweden. The Scandinavian group has recently announced a brand new studio album which will be released June 3rd 2022: In A Dark Heart We Trust. From the very first drum fill, In A Dark Heart We Trust actually captures that unmistakable vibe that you would expect from some of the best Nordic rock and roll.
If you are familiar with groups as diverse as The Hellacopters, Turbonegro, Dead Rituals, Volbeat or The Hives, you probably know what I am talking about. In addition to that, there is also a darker and more cinematic component to the band’s sound, often tipping the hat off to 80s rock, punk, and even some shades of metal. The possibilities are endless as this band follows no rules but having fun and connecting with the audience with killer hooks and sick riffs through and through. With its 14 songs, In A Dark Heart We Trust is a true rock and roll celebration, with fat guitar tones, incredibly hot licks, pounding drums and vocals that bring a very diverse touch to the mix, giving the group it’s authentic and inimitable sonic signature.

The second Story Metal album “In A Dark Heart We Trust” from Pressure is about the ordinary relationships that we all have to live with, endure and cherish through all of our existence. Every relation can be hard to handle but it also can be almost perfect happiness!
We all long for love that is unconditional, a state of being all our own.
We strive to understand who we are,
the face behind the masquerade we’ve always shown.
We long to be ourselves but being wanted is a stronger drug.
We pretend in order to be liked, tucked into our façade so snug.
There comes a time we must awaken and shake off the dust.
It’s time we listened to our spirit, IN A DARK HEART WE TRUST.
Contrary to the inscription in the American currency
A dark heart devours the spirit all the time, even unconsciously.
In truth, divinity does not play a role in one’s actualization
But the pureness or inherent evilness of the actual creation.
So, pick your poison:
Eternal damnation or a lifetime of insufficiency?
Will you pray to Lucifer or be the prey?
I am the first one to accept that a relation is like a bed of roses. Beauty and pain is all the same!
Who is Pressure I hear you ask? Well, if you had to tag them with a genre the one that fits best is a ‘melodic rock’ but they are so much more than that. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden and with vocalists Olof Jönsson and olli violet you can always guarantee soaring, athletic and committed vocals. Together with a twin guitar sound coming from songwriter and lead guitarist Simon “Siirpo” Forsell and Emil Salling. Pressures work often focuses and embraces the pressures felt from everyday existence. Their lyrics always demonstrates that there are two sides to every story – the good and the bad. Every song has a double meaning, and they truly see music as a tool to handle the different pressures thrown at us from the modern world.
The band began their journey together in 2018, and since then they’ve worked tirelessly developing their sound and live performance, their aim? To make memories with their fans and to an epic musical soundtrack.
