Los Angeles based musician Brian Johnson, aka, EDM DJ/Producer TLUXX discovered the genre as he was recovering from surgery that derailed his dreams of playing major league baseball. During his recovery, TLUXX studied Avicci’s “My Feeling For You” intensely, and later went on to teach himself music production and the art of DJ performance. TLUXX started his career in the Albuquerque, NM DJ Community, which welcomed him with open arms. He quickly started booking shows where he shared the stage with artists like Headhunterz, Zomboy, CandyLand, Cry Wolf, Riggi & Piros MAKO, Party Favor and many more, and residencies, including the Lotus and Gravity nightclubs. TLUXX has studied at ICON Production School and the prestigious Berklee College of Music. TLUXX’s goal with his music is simple, to make people happy through music.
His favorite sight is an energized crowd, dancing to his beats. He doesn’t follow trends, he uses his intuition and his musical training to sway the energy of his audiences. A true philanthropist, TLUXX also founded and performs in, the annual “Play It Forward” charity event, which raises over $2000 each year for a homeless teen shelter.
Currently, TLUXX is partnering with promoters in Los Angeles and fulfilled a dream by playing at one of his favorite venues, Avalon. You can catch him there on May 19th. His latest release, a new music video dedicated to the victims and survivors of the Las Vegas Mass Shooting, will be out May 2nd, and additional hot new summer releases will be announced for May, June, and July.
