Jordana Talsky – Bitter Sweet Heart:
On her latest album of originals, Neither of Either, Canadian vocalist-songwriter Jordana Talsky takes risks. Sonically and stylistically, she embraces varied influences, fusing pop, jazz and alternative elements into a hybrid “alt-pop-jazz” character all her own.
The album combines acapella and full band tracks while seamlessly weaving between intricate support harmonies, vocal percussion and quirky textures to create an innovative sound, paired with uniquely direct and honest lyrics that offer a sometimes pointed view of human relationships.
Bitter Sweet Heart, co-written with Justin Gray, is a heart song to an unsalvageable love. “It’s about trying to say goodbye when you still feel attached.”
