Interview with ackzz
ackzz pronounced “axe” is an Electronic music producer from Canada. Real name is Artemisio Bertone of Italian descent. ackzz has been uploading his music to the web on YouTube and SoundCloud since 2015.
Genres vary from Electronica, Progressive House, Techno, Trance, Dark Electro, Ambient and Experimental.
Where are you from?
I was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada around Duffrerin and St Clair area known as the 2nd Little Italy. My parents are Italian, mother from Salerno and father from Naples
How long have you been making music?
I have always been fascinated with sound and making music from my childhood but, I didn’t start producing albums till 2016 as I was on a journey through out my life exploring and experimenting with sound and on how to produce music, self taught mostly

I have 5 Albums out and currently working on my 6th

Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?
Latest album release is “Dimensions”, I watch a lot of Sci-fi and and I’m always theorizing about life, existence, space and time.
My latest youtube video is “Westwold” which will be on my 6th album “Metaphysics” coming on soon
How have you ended up in the music industry?
Passion for music and explorer of sound
Who do you think the most influential artist?
I grew up listening to mostly rock music and was inspired by synthesizer sounds from the bandsartists Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, Bob Marley, Giorgio Moroder and Kraftwerk. Later on in life I started listening to electronic dance music and was was heavily influenced by Armin van buuren and deadmau5
Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?
I have collaborated with eSoreni for adding female vocals to my song “Strange Vibrations” which can be heard on my Soundcloud page

What was the first album you bought?
Pink Floyd – Dark side of the moon
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
I have a vary large taste in music genres ranging from classical, big band, heavy metal and EDM and at the moment I’m really liking the song “Come” from Jain
What is your favourite saying?
Some people learn the easy way and others the hard way. I think I have always learned the hard way so my favorite saying would be “Failure is my greatest teacher”
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
No tattoos or piercing but, thinking of getting my ackzz logo on my arm
Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?
The ackzz project is to produce 10 albums and then decide what to do from there. I’m currently working on my 6th album to release soon titled ” Metaphysics”. My music is always evolving
