Arthur Pri¢e – Dark Days

Arthur Pri¢e presenting the Official Music Video for new single, ‘Dark Days’

Arthur Pri¢e is an artist inspired by everyday life. Sometimes, this is normal day-to-day, but sometimes he draws influence from the harder things in life. As much as it is a career, music is a meditative path to zone out and get your thoughts into the world.

Born in San Francisco, Arthur Pri¢e lives in Alameda, a town outside Oakland. While the music in the Bay Area is one of a kind, Pri¢e doesn’t claim himself a “Bay Area musician” – his music is unique to himself and very experimental. He first got involved in music as a kid, when his dad bought him a drum set at a garage school, starting small bands with friends. Taking influence from old school boom-bap rap and greats like Eminem, Method Man, and Red Man, as well as modern favorites like Drake and Travis Scott, he began writing lyrics in high school. A friend made some beats, and when Pri¢e freestyled over it, a song was created.

Now, having found his passion, Arthur Pri¢e is excited to share his music with the world. “Dark Days” is about “not having enough time to do what I want to do, but pushing my limits to move forward in life.” The song and its accompanying video show the demons that he faces – whether it’s girls or substances. Pri¢e partnered with longtime friend and director Jack Boston, and the two shot at a warehouse in Santa Cruz. In the “Dark Days” video, we see Arthur Pri¢e fighting multiple versions of himself, fighting through his struggles. He aimed high and felt that the video “turned out better than I had hoped for.”
