Born in Toronto, 20 year old PRADO (Teresina Prado) is a singer, songwriter and artist of
Cuban and Italian descent. Growing up in a biracial household, PRADO was raised knowing the importance of diversity at a very young age. Her earliest memories of music stem from singing around the house with her father and grandfather, who were both professional musicians back in Cuba. From jamming along to the tunes of icons like Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz and La India to name a few, PRADO’s family knew that she was destined for music.
Showing more interest in music as she got older, PRADO began posting covers online which eventually inspired her to begin writing her own music. With the goal of cultural inclusion in mind, PRADO made it a point to create music that people around the globe can enjoy which is why she is beyond proud to be able to sing in more than 1 language.
After years of trying to find a way to incorporate the vibes of bluesy tunes with the complexity of Cuban music, PRADO’s sound is one of a kind. As she works on creating project after project, PRADO is soaking up as much information from industry professionals as she can, striving to always enhance her skills.
