LA GAMELLE introducing new alternative release, “In Media Res”
LA GAMELLE is a band based in Saint-Malo, France. Their sound blurs the lines between a wide variety of genres, including progressive rock, experimental music, and psychedelia. LA GAMELLE echoes the sound of iconic artists such as Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream or The Doors, as well as iconic French musicians, such as Serge Gainsbourg, only to mention one.
On their most recent release, “In Media Res,” the group set out to combine their instrumental prowess and cool experimental arrangements with thought-provoking spoken-words vocals in French. The atmosphere is absolutely one-of-a-kind, and this album combines modern ideas with a nice retro sound that feels timeless and ever-so-relevant.
The band sounds like a very dynamic unit, with great ideas and a lot of chemistry, as these talented musicians bounce off each other’s ideas seamlessly.
European rock music is always intriguing, and LA GAMELLE is a good example of forward-thinking experimentation that goes a long way.
