Where are you from?
Massachusetts
How long have you been making music?
About 4-5 years, 2 seriously.
How many songs /albums have you released to date?
1 mixtape, 4 singles,13 tracks out as we speak. I have so many that I have deleted. I sadly came to the standing that I am a perfectionist… Countless amounts of projects and tracks scrapped because they weren’t that “perfect” sound.
Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?
My latest release is titled “Flower Garden” which will hit all streaming stores 6.16.. Basically the song depicts anyone in a dark place…. I was a little depressed going through relationship problems so I wrote my emotions into it. I stated that although it’s nothing but darkness within my flower garden(own life) I have to find the happiness and still sprout.. Your flowers can’t be roots forever. After all the cherry blossoms fall over I just lay there and depict my life.. Come to conclusions that where I stand right now is okay. I can make life happy, no matter what my situation may be or become. Hence the line “as these roses cut my arm, yet it feel right’ As if life constantly cutting me open yet I still find a way to be happy.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
Shit….. Guess is was just made to happen.. I truthfully don’t know. You feel me? I guess I started seriously studying and rap just because in high school and it became some shit I REALLY wanted to do. People clowned me but I didn’t give a shit. Chase your dreams kids.
What do you think of the music industry in 2019?
I think it’s great honestly. Personally I have nothing against the trap Rao movement. But many older well respected artists do. Do I tend to listen?? Nah. But I always educate myself and find a well regulated balance between old and young. I think music and hip hop has grown so much to the point it has it’s own sub genres (trap, emo, lo-fi)its fucking crazy. Think about when KRS One was spitting. Their really wasn’t anything other than real rap bars! The shit that really matters. Tell a story, get that shit off your chest. Well I’d say this generation of music is much less talented and seems to limit themselves to one genre, I wouldn’t relatively say it’s bad you feel me?
Who do you think the most influential artist?
I think the most influential artist is easily Kota The Friend out of Brooklyn. He is so fucking creative. I see his shit and immediately want to out do him..out of love.
Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?
So far in my career for artist I have worked with have been my dawg Dax.. Shoutout to him and his family.. He a real ass dude. My brother from Nigeria Not.Nilc and I love to make tracks together as well. I recently opened for my dude ROWLAN for over 100 people. Shit was crazy!
How do you think you differ from other artists?
I’m here to help people. Not feed them propaganda.
Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?
As stated early I would probably love to work with either Kota the Friend or my man J. Cole.
What was the first album you bought?
The first album I personally ever purchased with my own money was American Idiot in 04. I was like 3-4 with a huge Green Day obsession….
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
Currently my favorite song is Bagels by Kota the Friend. The vibe he gives me in the track is amazing. I think it has to be a 132 hrtz track.
If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?
I would leave Black to Black by Amy Winehouse. rest in peace love <3
What is your favourite saying?
Evil exists only within the minds of those who live out nature, in the realm of illusion.
What other hobbies or interests do you have?
I like to read, produce records and ride my bike. On some adult shit.
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Not yet.. gotta get the right shit.
Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?
Well I dropped my Mixtape AMNDA less than a month ago everywhere.. I may have announced another tape. I’m really good at announcing things yet to happen yet. But I’m taking this project slow, I wanna find the right sounds and emotions. cognitively. Thats where the writings come from.
What’s in the pipeline after this project?
Some more hits to refresh your ears.
Thank you for your time and may you carry on making great, fresh music.
Thank you so much ArtistRack, this is very appreciated. I send positive blessings to you and your entire team.
