Annie Higgins is an indie singer-songwriter based in Adelaide. She is emerging as one of the most intriguing female songwriters signed with Underfoot Records who’s Aussie grit, age and wisdom unashamedly share her values around community and compassion.
Annie’s latest release, ‘Good Things’ presents earthy tones and an optimistic lyric all recorded on an analogue desk with working musicians. She remains true to her passionate exploration of musical arrangements and changes up the groove toward the end of the song as a tribute to Stevie Wonder.
Her forthcoming album, Wise Woman brings ‘feed the soul’ lyrics combined with intricate grooves in a fusion of funk, reggae and acid jazz.
