Canadian rocker Vanessa Huneault, better known as AKA V, just dropped the video for her latest single βLast Chance.β βLast Chanceβ is written by AKA V, Patrick Phillips, and Scott Greene, who also produced the track at his studio in Edmonton, Alberta.
This heavier, grittier, more aggressive track is unlike anything that V has put out so far. βLast Chanceβ is sure to have music lovers of all ages grooving to itβs pounding beats. This amazing up-and-comer said that βLast Chanceβ marks a change in her music that she feels fully reflects her and her personality.
βIβve always had a pretty edgy image that doesnβt match my nice personality. So Iβve finally said to myself, βI donβt care what others think me or my image, or even if the two go together.β Itβs the same thing for my music.β
She also said that βLast Chanceβ was inspired after dealing with depression and her decision to break herself out of the downward spiral. She hopes that audiences can find some semblance of themselves within the track, and some comfort during difficult times.
The video for βLast Chanceβ is a careful reflection on the meaning of the track. Filmed in Toronto and Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, the video is an unsettling and unapologetic look at someone battling through mental health issues.
