“A Glass of Shiraz” This song was originally written a few years ago and recorded separately at my home studio back in the spring of 2023.
The song begins with an A major chord, followed by the addition of the 6th (D#) and 7th (G) strings while transitioning to a Cm chord through the A and B strings with my fingers. This was my own approach to adding a jazzy, dreamy mood to the song while playing acoustic guitar.
I’m not wealthy, but I’m fortunate to have a small townhouse on a hilltop. From my balcony, I can enjoy breathtaking views of sunsets, sunrises, and the starry night sky. I’ve always wanted to share this song by performing it for a small group of friends at a home party, but I haven’t had the opportunity yet. Hopefully, that chance will come soon.
