It shines a light on mental health and how hard some days can be. She said β I wrote this song when I was in a really dark place, my dad had just passed away and the pain wouldnβt stop. All of my life Iβve felt like I had to be the strong one but I was at a breaking point where I just couldnβt do it anymore. I had to let that go and know it was okay to feel what I was feeling. So I wrote this song about it. If you are feeling this way I want you to know you are not alone and itβs okay not to be okayβ.
