‘Silence Is Golden’ is James Douglas Cooper’s first soft rock single in 8 years. The song was recorded and produced by Cooper in his home studio during lockdown, then mixed by Emmy® Award-winning producer Sean Carey (Cat Stevens, Don Was). Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Cooper has been on an 8 year hiatus from recording and releasing his music. The antipodean – a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter – co-wrote the 2006 single and album cut ‘Beautiful As You’ for Australia’s indie favorites The Whitlams. He has released 2 prior albums, Second Season (2004) and Foreign Cities (2012). Cooper is currently in the studio working on new music to be released throughout 2021.
