Edley Shine #DABIGVOICE is closing out #2022 releasing a new song entitled ACTIVE.
The artist has been a mainstay on every mix show and club DJ’s playlist this year releasing songs that show his diversity and capabilities to appeal to all markets.
ACTIVE has the DJ returning to the roots of where Dancehall is at the moment with the current Trap sound and was produced by DJBABYACE who has laced tracks for (Jah African, Delly Ranks and Red Rat). Co-produced by Jamaican super producer / Artist Roe Summerz who has produced for (Beenieman, Tommy Lee and Vybz Kartel) Edley has insured that this song has the elements to appeal to the core of Dancehall.
When BabyAce sent me the beat I knew this was a call to go back to the root of things and meet the challenge of making a song talking to the New Generation but also giving it my signature sound so that globally it could become an anthem in its own right. I feel we accomplished our goal and the feedback has been positive.
ACTIVE is being accompanied by a cinematic music video shot in the artist homebase of the DMV (Washington DC, Maryland & Virginia).
The Director is a frequent collaborator of Edley on visuals Lapography and was shot at Gee’s Lounge at famed DMV Selector Ricky Platinum’s Red Hot Zess Thursdays.
Other Cameo’s include Shawn Ice, Frankie Sly and The Emperor Sound Family.
ACTIVE is me just returning to homebase to let the new generations know I’m 30 years in music but Fully ACTIVE.
