Black Baethoven DROPS his latest album, ‘Borealis’
“Borealis” breathes life into passion and style. It’s creator, Black Baethoven, is a largely self-produced Richmond native who is on the road to becoming an international star. His fourth feature length project, “Borealis,” is filled with fresh harmonies and heavy hitting 808s that will have your head bobbing all over the place. Tracks like “Don’t Make Me” and “Drip Lab” display Baethoven’s ability to drop substantially lyrical bars, while simultaneously maintaining a party vibe. Meanwhile, tunes such as “Seaside Paradise” and “Cloudy Daze” demonstrate his introspective competence. Thoven also exhibits an exemplary aptitude for conversations about love and relationships on songs like “Lately” and “Hideaway.” Furthermore, “Gold Plated” illustrates the power of his position overseas, as he teams up with feature Chinese artist Xeno. All in all, this project presents an impressive arrangement of wit, bravado, and soul.
