Opening with a bird’s-eye view of a chaotic society—“Sitting in the hills looking down from my domicile… People look like ants and the ants move in single file”—the track doesn’t waste time pulling punches. K.Flay takes direct aim at billionaire tax evasion strategies, fake news cycles, and the numbness that comes with watching the world spin out of control.

The heart of the song hits during its infectious, brutal chorus:

As K.Flay noted when talking about the release, “Ants” is an honest look at the heavy disillusionment floating around right now.
