Is there absolution for these things?’” Foreman says. “I kept coming back to this idea from Carl Jung: ‘Until we make the unconscious conscious, it will direct our lives and we will call it fate.’ A lot of this record is about trying to unearth the things we want to keep buried and the parts of ourselves that inevitably surface in other ways.”
