ArtistRack brings to you ‘I’M HIM’ by Casttro
When you first look at the title card there’s already a certain perception that’s going to strike first, some may take this as a braggadocious approach but for myself I saw it in a different light. Being a heavily spiritual person myself I found myself diving into a much more deeper meaning before even pressing play, and as soon as I did I found myself on a journey of visions of how this could be taken as a story of who Casttro really is. It gave me an opportunity as a rising artist myself to really apply those visions that struck my mind when sonically connecting with the track. Upon meeting Casttro for the first time I was intrigued and thrown off by how naturally talented he was at such a craft some try to master over time or even never reach, but for him it just fell off the bone so flawlessly. His story to what got him to where he is at this very moment in time gave me a chance to really use it as a reflection of his world and those who are willing to step into it with an open spirit. We as humans all carry a certain degree of ego and I think that sometimes it really affects how we can consume art when presented to us, so what’s the point of expression if we are already enter with judgement based on our own connotation of words?
