SAM FENDER RELEASES NEW SINGLE “LITTLE BIT CLOSER” FROM ALBUM PEOPLE WATCHING

Brit Award-winning artist Sam Fender is back with his latest single, “Little Bit Closer,” a deeply personal and sonically expansive track from his highly anticipated new album, People Watching, which is out now.

Following the success of Hypersonic Missiles and Seventeen Going Under, which explored themes of working-class struggles and personal introspection, People Watching marks a new chapter for Fender. This time, the North Shields native expands his storytelling lens, capturing the lives of those closest to him—his friends, family, and community—while simultaneously reflecting on his own experiences and broader existential questions.

“Little Bit Closer” perfectly encapsulates the evolution of Fender’s songwriting, blending his signature anthemic sound with a newfound sonic depth. The track sees Fender embracing a richer musical landscape, incorporating more space for his songs to breathe and new textures that add to the emotional weight of his storytelling. The influence of Adam Granduciel of The War On Drugs, who co-produced the album, is evident in the track’s atmospheric production.

Speaking about the album, Fender shared, “It’s just a collection of songs about the human experience.” With People Watching, he has carefully curated eleven tracks that paint an honest and raw picture of his journey, the relationships that define him, and the ever-changing world around him.

With Little Bit Closer, Sam Fender once again proves why he is one of the most compelling voices in modern rock. The single is now available on all streaming platforms. People Watching is set for release later this year.
