Jon Harris Releases the First Single from His Album βWho is Jon Harrisβ
Jon Harris has been known as and frequently stated to be the artist that started with nothing; no musical background, no song writing talent, and no ability to compose. Everything his brand is today he made and work hard doing so. He started with his first mixtape in 9th grade when he was 15 years old, a project that he frequently speaks to how people threw it in the trash; to becoming an artist that people respect when they hear his music. He finally feels its time to take his career to the next level. Jon has announced the release of his long awaited first album βWho is Jon Harrisβ and now he has blessed us with the first single and it is FIRE! The song is called βI Donβt Wanna Hear Itβ.
Harris has come a long way from when he started making music. He could not make a beat and knew nothing about composing music. Now he makes all of his original songs with a wide range of sounds and moods. He often states how failure, criticism, and the memory of finding his music in the trash as motivation to keep going, continue to prove doubters wrong, and keep surpassing his previously believed limitations. After graduating from Pace University, he founded Living Life Our Way Entertainment to further his understanding of the music industry. He was not only determined to learn about the creative side but wanted to learn the business side as well. Jon always thought himself as a βdo it yourselfβ kind of person and this was reflected in one of his lyrics; βIf I have to work alone, imma do it on my ownβ from his song βMake Em Proudβ which is a remix to J Coleβs Born Sinner βLet Nas Downβ.
The song βI Donβt Wanna Hear Itβ is a song with displays frustration with modern day conversation topics. People tend to steer the conversation towards sex, gossip, or nonsense and Jon has clearly had enough of it. He speaks to the fact that people donβt have serious conversations anymore and just want to brag about themselves. They basically say things that is not benefiting the listener just making the speaker look good. He gets around to how he doesnβt care for the gossip unless its related to him and how people who do tend to go back and forth like children. The song is short but packs a ton of ideas in its short 3-minute run time. It is worth a listen!
Quotable Lyrics
If you aint talking money, I donβt wanna hear it
If you aint talking goals, I donβt wanna hear it
If you stay talking βbout hoes, I donβt wanna hear it
If youβre only talking bullshit, I donβt wanna hear it
I donβt wanna hear it (No) I donβt wanna hear it (No)
I donβt wanna hear the bullshit, I donβt wanna hear it (I donβt wanna hear it)
I donβt wanna hear it (No) I donβt wanna hear it (No)
If youβre always talking bout that mother fucking bullshit I donβt wanna hear it(I donβt wanna hear it)
