GIRLSET and Kylie Cantrall Just Dropped “Glown Up”—And It’s the Ultimate Self-Love Pop Anthem

If your daily music rotation has felt a little stale lately, consider this your official cue to clear out your queue. GIRLSET has officially returned, and they didn’t come back quietly. Partnering up with singer and multi-hyphenate performer Kylie Cantrall, the group just dropped “Glown Up”—a massive, high-octane pop track that practically forces you to stand up a little straighter, turn the volume up a little higher, and step fully into your own lane.

In a pop landscape that often bounces between moody synth-wave and overly TikTok-manufactured hooks, “Glown Up” lands like a breath of fresh air. It’s vibrant, loud, unapologetic, and packed with the kind of genuine, feel-good energy that makes you want to drive around with the windows down—even if it’s freezing outside.

Here is everything you need to know about the new track, why this collaboration works so well, and how “Glown Up” is setting a new benchmark for girl group pop.

What Makes “Glown Up” Hit So Hard?

At its core, “Glown Up” is a track built around the concept of self-investment and celebrating how far you’ve come. But unlike songs that lean into petty revenge or flexing on an ex, this single shifts the focus inward. It isn’t about proving anyone wrong; it’s about acknowledging the hard work, the personal growth, and the quiet wins that happen behind closed doors.

Lyrically, the track walks a fun line between playful swagger and genuine encouragement. It captures that exact moment in life where everything starts clicking—when you finally stop caring about outside noise, step into your own skin, and realize you’ve completely transformed.

Key Lyrical Themes:

• Owning Your Journey: Celebrating personal evolution without feeling the need to apologize for it.

• Sisterhood & Solidarity: Highlighting group confidence rather than solo competition.

• Taking Well-Earned Space: Reminding listeners that working hard means you get to enjoy the payoff guilt-free.

Inside the Beat: Production Built for Heavy Rotation

You can’t talk about a pop song this infectious without looking at what’s happening beneath the vocals. “Glown Up” is backed by a powerhouse production team featuring industry heavyweights Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, JerkPoP, and Benjamin Parris.

From the very first measure, the track locks into a tight, modern groove. The production avoids getting bogged down in overly complex arrangements, opting instead for crisp synth work, a driving bassline, and punchy percussion that gives the vocalists plenty of room to breathe.

What stands out most is the vocal arrangement. GIRLSET has always been known for their tight harmonies and collective energy, but on “Glown Up,” the vocal layering feels richer and more dynamic than ever. Each member gets a distinct moment to shine, seamlessly handing off lines before coming together for a chorus that sticks in your head for hours after the song ends.

GIRLSET x Kylie Cantrall: A Match Made in Pop Heaven

When a feature gets added to a pop single, it can sometimes feel like a corporate decision designed solely to pad streaming numbers. That is definitely not the case here.

Kylie Cantrall’s addition to “Glown Up” feels completely organic. Known for her magnetic screen presence, powerhouse vocals, and effortless charm, Cantrall brings a sharp, playful energy that complements GIRLSET’s group dynamic without overpowering it.

Instead of feeling like a guest standing on the sidelines, Cantrall weaves directly into the song’s narrative structure. Her verses punch through with distinctive tone and cadence, trading off fluidly with the group. The back-and-forth vocal chemistry makes the track feel like a genuine hangout between talented artists who are genuinely having a blast in the booth together.
