Hudson Westbrook’s New Single “Made You Look” Paves the Way for Sophomore Album

If you thought Hudson Westbrook was going to take a breather after a whirlwind run of touring and viral hits, think again. The Stephenville, Texas native is back with a brand-new track, “Made You Look” and it comes with some massive news for fans.

The song serves as the title track for his upcoming sophomore studio album, which drops on November 6th via River House Artists and Warner Records Nashville.

Country Roots and Barroom Swagger

“Made You Look” leans hard into the traditional, fiddle-driven country sound that put Westbrook on the map, but it’s got the kind of modern punch that easily translates to packed live crowds.

The track kicks off with a quick acoustic tease before a driving beat and a lively traditional fiddle jump right in. It’s got that classic Texas swing-dance feel, setting the stage for a story about a classic barroom encounter. Co-written by Westbrook alongside Lukas Scott, Joybeth Taylor, Neil Medley, and Beau Bailey, the song plays out like a playful chess match across a crowded venue.

Lyrically, Westbrook is at his conversational best, trading reasons why the girl across the room shouldn’t talk to him against the undeniable chemistry of the night:

“Said you don’t do Texas, got too many exes / To talk in an accent just like me… / But you let me buy that drink in your hand / Checked yes to a midnight dance, I made you look”

What’s Ahead: Sophomore LP and the “Hits Me Tour”

Following up on his debut Texas Forever, this new project marks a major milestone for the 22-year-old rising star. Reflecting on the journey so far, Westbrook shared a message of appreciation for the people who got him here:

“The last two years have been insane,” Westbrook said. “If you would have asked me what I thought my life would look like at 22, my wildest dreams wouldn’t even come close… This record is built on the experiences and memories that my fans made possible for me.”

To celebrate the new music, Westbrook is packing his bags for a massive 24-date headline “Hits Me Tour” kicking off this fall, following high-profile runs sharing stages with heavyweights like Morgan Wallen and George Strait.
