The L.A.-based duo—Justine Dorsey and Graham Epstein—have a knack for making music that feels like a deliberate time capsule, channeling the glossy, guitar-driven pop of the early 2000s without ever feeling like a cheesy novelty act.

Their latest single, “Take Me to Sunrise” keeps that momentum going. Released via Mom + Pop, it’s a great distillation of what makes them work: massive, soaring vocals from Dorsey layered over Epstein’s atmospheric production, mixing bright mall-pop hooks with moodier, trip-hop undertones.

Even better, the single is leading up to something bigger. The band officially announced their debut full-length album, Fell Asleep in the Sun, which drops on September 18.
