The Star Prairie Project Releases New Album Little Gems – A Radiant Tapestry of Americana, Indie Rock, and Soulful Songwriting
The Star Prairie Project, the visionary musical project led by Wisconsin songwriter Nolen R. Chew Jr., proudly announces the release of its brand-new 12-track album titled Little Gems. A heartfelt mosaic of Americana, indie rock, and pop storytelling, the album brings together rich melodies, lyrical depth, and transatlantic collaborations that span from Los Angeles to London.
The Star Prairie Project is named after Chew’s hometown of Star Prairie, located 50 miles northeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and pays homage to the collaborative legacy of The Alan Parsons Project. With Little Gems, Nolen R. Chew Jr. continues his mission of crafting original songs and transforming them into fully produced records with the help of globally based musicians and producers.
Inspired by a casual remark from Chew’s wife Kathy, who described the songs as “little gems” during the album’s development, the title reflects both the personal and universal themes embedded in each track. Every song offers its own mood and message, yet together they form a cohesive emotional journey.
