Since his debut single ‘Plastic Cup’ was released in 2018, Young M has been one to watch within the UK urban scene, cultivating a steadfast fan-base to boot. Promptly after his entrance onto the scene, he found himself featured on many industry platforms including Link Up TV’s ‘Hardest Bars – Volume 3’ Mixtape by Joey Clipstar.
At 17 years old he began writing and recording songs, pulling inspiration and samples from many of his favourite artists, and uploading them to Soundcloud. It was from that time that he fell in love with a wide range of genres, allowing him to emulate different sounds through his music.
Despite his sophomore single, ‘Watching Me’ being his only release last year, he solidified his position as a prized up and coming artist by still achieving over 130,000 streams on Spotify alone. The single showcased more of his melodic sound, while it’s follow up, ‘Clubbing In The 2’, is unapologetically punchy with a trap vibe.
M’s highly anticipated debut EP ’14’ is a collection of 7 tracks, recorded during a poignant time in his life and career and documents his journey into adolescence. The project boasts an effortlessly cool vibe, and is embellished with a variety of sounds from Trap/Wave to Hip Hop and R&B.
