Türküm is a new Trap producer which has gained phenomenal support of many channels and names with his first release named Forever which features the rapper Lox Chatterbox. Boasting through with 600,000 people in reach and 180,000 overall plays. Türküm currently resides in Ankara, however it wouldn’t be shocking if we were to see him head towards Los Angeles with the impact he came into the electronic music scene.

Where are you from?

Lived all around the world due to my fathers career but as of now I live in Ankara,Turkey.

How long have you been making music?

Half a year since I have begun marketing myself, however I started using ableton 3 years ago.

How many songs /albums have you released to date?

Only released one song as of now, however have great music coming up in the future with immense support from big names!

Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?

My latest release “Forever” featuring Lox Chatterbox racked around a reach of 600,000 people and has 180,000 plays in total. It was crazy seeing the amount of people who listened to the song. I think the inspiration and background of the song comes from the middle eastern vibe I put into it.

How have you ended up in the music industry?

I loved listening to music, and it was so crazy just listening to different instruments being played together harmonically, and with the release of all the launchpad videos in 2011, I thought I could try Ableton and this is where it brought me!

What do you think of the music industry in 2016?

I think it keeps getting bigger and bigger, pop hits lately are all Trap, and on top of that many big names are now getting into the EDM scene with Justin Bieber, and other pop stars leaning towards trap.

Who do you think the most influential artist?

RL Grime, Flume, and Mura Masa are amazing.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?

Lox Chatterbox as of now, however as stated earlier much more to come soon!

How do you think you differ from other artists?

I tend to put a middle eastern / Balkanic vibe to my music so that people have a dance off.

Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?

What’s your favorite song at the moment?

Currently, as narcissistic as this might sound, a unreleased song which I have been working on with a friend of mine named Magnifico. I just listen to the song throughout the day as if I have no other song on my phone.

What is your favorite saying?

Ad Infinitum

Do you have any tattoos or piercings?

Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?

Its gonna be a quite a song I’m in it with my friend Dario Altay which recently also started producing music with the help of my background into music production, and the song has already attracted the attention of some big names. I think the orchestral composition and the addition of 808’s with dirty synths will really make it a trap anthem in 2016.

What’s in the pipeline after this project?

Alot more to come, small hint, decent shit coming up.

Thank you for your time and may you carry on making great, fresh music.
