Swimming Places has just released his new EP ‘Unplugged’
Swimming Places is an artist and DJ based in Pretoria, South Africa. For him, music is something that runs in the family. In fact, he was exposed to some of the best LPs by his dad, who was also a music lover. Later, he went on to establish a solid reputation throughout the local music scene.
As a budding DJ, he had the chance to share the decks with some influential local performers as well as many international acts visiting town. It didn’t take long for Swimming Places to develop a deeper interest in music production, especially veering towards Deep House music, but he also loves other styles, including Soulful House and Deep Tech, keeping a very open creative approach. His most recent EP, Unplugged, is one of the many successful projects and collaborations that fueled Swimming Places’ soaring career over the past few years. This EP release features three songs, all original mixes.
The opening track, “In My Thoughts,” is a perfect introduction to Swimming Places, and his music, given the listeners a unique insight into his creativity and ability to produce tracks that sound modern and refreshingly unapologetic.
