Mic Rocca, real name Michael Towns, was born and raised in a small suburb of Los Angeles California, named Pasadena, also known as “City of Roses” where they hold the world famous “Rose Parade” every New Years day. Growing up attending the Rose Parade and being involved in numerous sports, after learning how to write poetry in the sixth grade he decided writing hip-hop would be his true calling. Few years later, at the age 19 Mic Rocca recorded his first song. After that, he went on to record numerous mixtapes and albums under the alias, M.I.C. In 2010, Mic Rocca suffered the tragic death of his grandmother and within that same year was falsely incarcerated by the Los Angeles sheriffs department, and was in a three year court battle with the sheriffs resulting in a false arrest case lost due to the decision of the jury. The jury decided that the sheriffs was not in the wrong for what they did even though Mic Rocca had no warrant for his arrest. Despite this minor setback Mic Rocca has managed to get back on his feet and doing what he does best, making GREAT music. He recently released his debut album, The Rocca Cycle, which is a three volume album set that portrays his many versatile styles.
