John Maine - Wild Horses

John Maine proudly presents his new single, ‘Wild Horses’

I am now in the process of perfecting my art. I’m getting their but still need some work. I sang in churches since I was 8 until I quit in 2004. I got back into singing in 2014 but I had to retrain my voice.

I played Americana and was told by a big promo firm that I do the best Americana they have ever heard. But I did not find that Americana was good ART. It was too rustic. So I started playing classic rock. Soft rock because I don’t like noise. And some country which I love.

I’ve come a long way thanks to friends like DJ Nick Noble of WICN in Mass. who offered great advice. But I like the sound of my voice but not the artistic quality. YET. I live in NJ was offered a record deal with Sony and received critical acclaim from the critic who ostensibly discovered Blake Shelton. He raved about one of my songs calling it “Song of the Year” in 2015, Jerry Tonkinson.

But I used a different name at that time: Tony Stephens. I wanted to use the name of my relative who fought in the Revolutionary War. I’m an original American as a descendant of the Mayflower Pilgrims and relatives who fought to create this great country.
