Who is J.R James?
J.R James was born (James McCullum Jr.) and raised in Chicago until his parents moved to Hopkins Park IL where he completed most of his schooling. It is there he discovered his love of rap music. His family later settled in Joilet Il. A place where he took his gift of songwriting to another level by recording his first three mixtapes “summertime heat”, “Money, Hoes, and Bangas” and “Heartless Hustler” in taking hits constantly studios. J.R James attended church with his family where he discovered a new talent to play the keyboard by ear. He used his new discovered gift and made his own sound but the love for it wasn’t the same as just writing about the struggle, hardship, and other personal problems at home and in the streets. He has beating the odds he faced while growing up in the city and holds on to his music as an escape.
J.R James is known best by all his fans for his infamous record’s “Loyalties A Promise” and “First Class Chick”. His music is from the heart and his performances are power packed.
