Introducing Genevieve Dietzel:

Genevieve Dietzel is an alternative pop rock singer and songwriter based out of New York City, whose music shines a light on what it’s like to live with mental illness and abuse, but she also focuses on empowerment and recovery through her lyricism.
Music has been a way for Dietzel to cope ever since she was a little girl. Growing up, she listened to a range of artists as diverse as Public Enemy and Black Sabbath; as Pearl Jam to Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. Currently, she’s found her greatest influences to be powerful female vocalists, like Ann Wilson, Pat Benatar, Florence Welch, Idina Menzel, P!nk, and Lady Gaga.

She currently categorizes her sound as a fusion of The Foo Fighters, Radiohead, and Florence + The Machine, with just a dash of Joshua Tree-era U2. The moody, broodingness of Florence + The Machine and Radiohead, combined with the intense guitars and drums of The Foo Fighters, along with her poetic lyricism, makes for a dramatic, almost theatrical musical experience.
Her first single, Burn, will be coming out in December 2017. You can hear a snippet of it on her twitter.
