DownWithTheMob is back with a new release: Overdose
December 2020 – DownWithTheMob is an artist who refuses to get stuck in the usual cliches. He doesn’t stick to the usual genre definitions and sonic aesthetics, and more importantly, he keeps pushing himself to try new things and continually refine his craft as an artist, producer, and songwriter alike. His most recent single, “Overdose,” deals with the relevant topic of drug overdose instances, which are actually at an all-time high, due to the stressful situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is leading to a lot of other social side-effects and problems related to the isolation of lockdowns, loss of job, and in some cases, loss of loved ones. The song has a very hard hitting trap sound, with a killer distorted bus and some dubstep-like influences in terms of the way the song feels and the swing of the groove.
“Overdose” is a banger with a modern touch, and it is going to make its way into your go-to playlist, if you dig artists like XXXTENTATION, as well as Travis Scott, as well as Lil Uzi Vert and Juice WRLD, only to mention a few.
