Chupapi introducing brand new single, “Beneath Her Heart.”
Chupapi, also known by his birth name, Chad Stephen Walt, is not your average songwriter. Hailing from Toronto, he makes music that sounds exciting and diverse, giving the audience a glimpse of his vast imagination and notable skills.
Recently, Chupapi just announced the release of a new single called “Beneath Her Heart,” which is all about setting the bar higher with catchy melodies and great production aesthetics. Through the magic of the internet, Chupapi managed to release a lot of music on a regular basis, connecting with his audience on a deeper level. He is so fond of this process, and ever since his career as “Chupapi” started in 2017, he never looked back, and continued to release insightful music that people can connect with! He loves to inspire others, while having the time of his life creating wonderful, and relatable songs with a special twist.

Bio
Chupapi, born Chad Stephen Walt is a multi genre, recording artist based out of Toronto. At an early age of 9 years old, he began “writing lyrics on his math notebook”. He said he was obsessed with the art, writing music on his piano and keeping a journal filled with every song lyric or idea that he thought of. Chad told us that from a young age, he use to “fall asleep to Eminem being blasted in the room next door to him. My brother was a huge fan. I honestly never told him to turn it off, I found it pretty peaceful.” When Chad was 10 years old he began taking royal conservatory piano lessons as well as writing music on the side. At age 14 he decided to give up these lessons. Although he enjoyed playing the piano, he wasn’t a huge fan of the classical element of it. He continued to write multiple songs on his piano and began to post videos of himself to his Facebook and YouTube channel.
At age 15, Chad decided to buy a microphone from his local music store and began recording his own lyrics. “I honestly use to release everything I put out. This is where I was wrong. It’s important to stay active but still maintain an element of mystery.” After releasing 3 albums under 3 different music accounts, Chad could confidently say “I made it a goal of mine to get better at audio engineering. This really helped me take my music to the next level”. In late 2017, Chad began has career as “Chupapi”, a word that started as a childhood nickname transformed into this young mans artist name. Chupapi began performing at local clubs and bars around his city, trying to get his name out everywhere he could. He told us in one interview “performing is really where I lack the most, so I made it a goal of mine to try and perform as much as possible.” Chupapi also began to release a new song every week for the next two months- “if I can do it, then why not?”
So what’s next for Toronto’s Chupapi? Well, he has recently shifted his genre of music from Trap/Hip-hop to R&B/Acoustic songs. There are even some rumours that he will be releasing electronic dance music in the upcoming weeks before summer ends. “I honestly like making any kind of music; being versatile is important to me and if something sparks my interest, it’s hard for me to not do it.” Chupapi is currently streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and more! He currently has released 11 singles and one album to date. Chupapi has also just released his new pop single “Love Song, Dear”!
