Black Angel present their new release, ‘Life Just Ran Over Me’ featuring Lois Mahalia
This video is dedicated to George Floyd and all the people of color and others (women, gays, foreign born, disabled) who have suffered at the hands of the evil people on Earth now and in the past.
The song, “Life Just Ran Over Me”, was written and recorded a number of years ago in Santa Barbara at S&M Studios by the band and our back up singers.
When Lois Mahalia, a young singer originally from British Guiana, came in to sing the song, we were blown away. There was something very real and spiritual about her performance.
Since then Lois has become a back up singer for Joe Walsh of The Eagles and Kenny Loggins.
Kenny Loggins has also produced Lois’ solo, jazz albums.
This song features great piano by the late Cory Orosco; drums by Tina Stefens; and guitars by Fernando Perez, Ernie Orosco and J. C. Martin (the writer and producer of the song).
