And The Animal present their new single, ‘Jellyfish Juice’
What makes this project really special is definitely the fact that “And The Animal” transcends the usual boundaries of what a band is or could be. This is really all about expanding the creative horizons, to the point of transcending music as the only medium the band is able to explore. In fact, And The Animal is all about visual expiration as well, allowing different influences to merge in with so much creativity. Their sound is so diverse that they actually represent the cutting edge of a brand new genre: electronic music.
Their most recent single, “Jellyfish Juice” is a perfect representation of the band’s innovative approach and work. The song is blissfully melodic, yet also very distinctive and forward-thinking, allowing each element within the mix to stand out for its unique nuances and character. The initial bass line is vicious, and along with the drum parts, they make up a really heavy, industrial sound. The lyrics have a hip-hop influence with an old-school / trap vibe. The upfront nature of the vocals is a great match with this diverse track, and it cuts through the atmospheric sounds well. The funk/jazz inspired brass sections are a true surprise here, bringing a completely different twist to the song – not to mention the beautiful female R&B vocals! They weren’t kidding when they said this music is eclectic!
